Supporting observations of previous studies that resistance training and higher muscle mass protect against Type 2 diabetes (T2D), a new observational longitudinal study of over 140,000 people followed for 8 years found that muscle strength, as measured by grip strength divided by fat-free body mass, is also associated with a lower risk of T2D.

Der Mann mit den Endgegner Schultern ist wieder da während ich versuche auf der Seithebe Maschine zu einer akzeptablen Form zu finden
In today's trainings session I was able to do 360s and10to2s with the self-made 7kg gada for the first time in a long time.
I love this tool and it's easy and cheap to make your own.

Gestern war Leg Day. Mir ist gerade der Lappen runtergefallen und ich hätte fast geweint
Brauche ich wirklich die Muskeln die Bankdrückmaschine mir bietet? Es ist sehr anstrengend und ich möchte nicht bankdrücken
Journal – Week 14, March/April 2025
It wasn't an usual week. Mum was still in the hospital till she was released on Thursday. I had physio on Tuesday, when I also "showered" Skoosh. Skoosh got her TLC (maintenance) on Wednesday, so I wanted her to be a bit cleaner for that. I exchanged the cars on early Wednesday morning, and I also took Bas (my parent's Dachshund) with me, as dad would be taking Skoosh to the garage, and he had another appointment in that area. So Bas would not have to be alone all day. On Thursday, I took Bas back, exchanged cars, did groceries for my parents and me. And, unplanned, I picked up mum from the hospital. Friday I worked in the garden a bit, and I repeated that on Saturday and Sunday morning. After the hard work, I needed to relax, so I enjoyed some gaming time, accompanied by a lovely friend on the chat. The weather forecast, some shilly nights, but decent days, and there could be some sun involved as well. Not too bad... Or so the forecast says... Quick links to the days of the week: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday. […]https://cynnisblog.wordpress.com/2025/04/08/journal-week-14-march-april-2025/
Good night! #3GoodThings
1. Finished a chapter in Braille.
2. Closed my fitness rings and left my 10K steps in the dust.
3. The sun was shining today.
Sleep well and may your dreams take you to the stars. #GoodNight #Braille #Fitness #Happy
Colon cancer survivors who exercise regularly live longer, according to research.
@npr reports: "When it comes to colon cancer, the good news is that overall, death rates have been falling thanks to improvements in screening and treatment."
So there's six months or so until the promotion cycle where I *could* get my black belt. My intention right now is to ramp up my training until then. I've got so much training data that *should* be able to direct my training intensity and volume...let's see how this goes. If my metrics indicate I'm good to train, I'll train. If they indicate rest, I'll rest.
