When Game Informer was unceremoniously shuttered in 2024 after operating for more than 30 years, it was yet another sobering reminder that corporations shouldn’t be trusted to cherish and preserve video game history. That’s a job best suited for historians, librarians, and an enthusiastic global community of people who simply adore this form of entertainment.
Fortunately, the Video Game History Foundation exists!

@killyourfm Totally agreed. Tho some times even libraries ( digital ) are not safe from copyright "strikes", like archive.org.
