It's an awesome feeling, eating food you've personally grown and cared for. It's becoming addicting -- thankfully the healthiest addiction I've ever had.

Not that it's any consolation, but I lost my butterstick squash plants to powdery mildew. I totally get how upsetting it feels to lose your plants.

@slembcke I HATED them when I was a kid! Then 30 years passed, I grew them, and I too learned to love the sweet taste of dirt.
