I'm trying to install Bridge on a fresh install, and keep running into this problem. Any hints out there?

EDIT 1: my package manager can't find 'libsecret' or 'secret-service'. Installing 'pass' does nothing. And kwallet isn't supported, which is ridiculous.

EDIT 2: Apparently installing gnome-keyring solves this. @protonmail: Bridge still needs serious work on ...)

@protonmail And wouldn't ya know it, Proton Bridge just works on too. No fuss.

@killyourfm What version of the bridge is it? 3.0.21?

*Oh nevermind, seeing your edits!

@killyourfm @protonmail maybe its time for some neutral-keyring package because it's not the first time that an app/service relays in a gnome centric package that is not installed by default in other environments.

@alexbrrsclnt @killyourfm @protonmail that’s why Freedesktop Secrets Service is supposed to be. It’s been implemented by both GNOME Keyring and KWallet (since KDE Frameworks 5.97.0).

However, some applications seem to still rely on the outdated linguine-keyring.

@killyourfm @protonmail I had the same issue and solved it by installing pass via the terminal.

@verdeginnrow @protonmail Oddly, apt couldn't find that package.

But I was able to solve it by installing gnome-keyring.

@killyourfm @protonmail it worked on Fedora 37 using Gnome.
I believe the problem is the compatibility with KDE specifically.

@thenets Noooooooooo but I want to love and use KDE.

@killyourfm haha me too. My Steam deck is my companion during trips. The desktop mode is really good.

@killyourfm @protonmail I'm on Nobara technically, but still Fedora with some tweaks. Idea to test for energy consumption, Fedora Vs Nobara, just throwing it in the ideas board, because why not

@killyourfm I love Proton's support on Linux. I use it through the browser. What email application do you use?

@killyourfm @thunderbird Ah, duh! I was using Thunderbird a while back. I stopped honestly due to the UI, BUT the new changes are very exciting and I keep testing with a secondary email of mine. I'm not too far from going back to Thunderbird, honestly!

@micahbp @thunderbird We hear that reason frequently, and I don't blame you! But I do hope Supernova makes you come back -- or at least check it out again.
