DeeAnn Little

@anna I use a walking cane at conferences and have lower vision (astigmatism and peripheral blindness). I am also having trouble understanding the map on screen and already know I wouldn't be able to read it properly onsite with my phone (I think I have tried to use it before). @johanvdw if you are interested I can show you in person some of the issues in getting around at FOSDEM and especially what happens when using a cane in the crowd. It won't be exactly the same as Anna as we ... @garrett

@johanvdw ... use them differently, but it should give an idea.

@anna @garrett

@chillicampari @anna @garrett First of all, navigating the campus is hard, even for some of the FOSDEM organisers. It's often better to stay in a track than to try to quickly change.
Anyway, I'm definitely interested in how we could improve the application for users such as yourself.We use the same app as CCC (38c3.c3nav.de/), so especially if you think they do things better (eg colorscheme, ...) we might be able to pick them up quickly.

c3navc3nav

@johanvdw cool! I just used c3nav recently and I'll take another look at both. Thank you :) @anna @garrett

@johanvdw something that I think could help right away if it's possible (it's also like this in the c3nav, so not sure) is if the contrast between text (dark gray) and background (lighter gray) could be increased. @anna @garrett
