So apparently, #Ubuntu 24.04 no longer supports installing to an encrypted disk. It's just not an option in the installer. You have to install an earlier version and upgrade, or do some convoluted remount dance to sneak it in.

This is Ubuntu LTS. How can they claim it's business-ready and secure when they *remove* basic security configuration?

I disabled #AI assist on #DuckDuckGo, but even when I do, I still get a bunch of search results that point me to 100% AI-generated web pages. Nowadays anyone can just fuzz search engines like #Google for lists of commonly searched queries, then generate slop responses to these queries, then cache the slop, and then use shady SEO techniques to get these slop pages to show up at the top of search results. And this is what I have been getting from a lot of my web searches lately, content from slop shops.

A part of me thinks companies like Google, Microsoft, and Amazon may themselves be investing in these shady slop shops to deliberately make traditional search engines useless, which would “incentivize” people to use #LLM -based AI like Gemini or #ChatGPT more often, though that is purely speculation on my part.

I understand how some #youtube creators and content creators in general get such gigantic egos, and become addicted to attention.

It feels good when I post something, and it gets a ton of views. I enjoy it as it feels like my work is being admired.

It could go to someone's head. Make their ego huge if they were arrogant, and it would be easy to get addicted to the validation.

I'll try and keep my head deflated, I did it all for fun and expected nothing :)

They have really fragile egos, and hate it when they are humiliated somehow.

Just respond to like 3 or 4 of their essays they write you full of diversions, and fake facts they got from #trump and other MAGA related people, then say -

"HEY thanks. I farm you guys for stupid comments, and make compilations for YouTube. I have enough from you now!"

Doesn't have to be true.

I think I am going to continue with #scoopz even if it's trying to be like #tiktok as I have started getting views again, even if my growth is slower.

I tried #youtube and their algorithm is insane, and spits my videos out after a couple hours, and really is more focused on longer content, which is hard for me to make with how limited my #tech is still.

Also I seem to be the only one putting effort into real editing, and effects.

People are noticing, and I slowly grow.
