(Also, I am DEFINITELY going to explore the gaming side of this. Stay tuned!)
@killyourfm I’ve got Asahi on my M1 mini at work. It’s generally very impressive and very usable for office based work.
The only thing on my wish list is the ability to run a second screen.
@DJDarren Ahh that's right -- USB-C / Thunderbolt displays aren't supported yet?
@killyourfm Not as of when I used it last week. I switch between Asahi and macOS depending on how much time I want to spend fannying about.
@killyourfm I'm really interested to see what Linux gaming performance is on Apple silicon. The new Mac Mini seems like a great emulation box, if only it was running Batocera or Bazzite. Wildly efficient and basically silent. Throw Kodi on it and call it a day.
@Jaxseven I am wildly tempted to pick up the new Mac Mini, but I *think* Asahi Linux support is limited to M1 + M2 right now?
@killyourfm I would love to use this, but that hardware is neither expandable nor (easily) repairable...
@alerich Yea, valid! Fedora runs much better on my Framework 13, but I'm fascinated by the progress Asahi team is making on Apple Silicon.
