I've said this before, but #grunge is absolutely making a comeback. And Grunge Pop Records is a label to keep your ears on.

@killyourfm Unrelated to Grunge but I love how shoegaze has maintained a steady following even after Britpop became all the hot stuff and Grunge fizzled out (for a while), I'm personally not a huge Grunge fan (I freaking love Shoegaze though) but seeing the two alt-rock genres still afloat does warm my heart! I'm sure you know of Superheaven but if you don't, you need to check them out Jason! Very solid modern Grunge
@stewbsss Thanks for the reminder! I haven't given this a spin in quite some time.
@killyourfm You're welcome! No worries, it always sounds just as good as it did on the first listen :) always a delight to the ears! I really wish they'd release something new soon, especially considering how well the alt-rock genre is blooming right now, I'm more on the shoegaze side of things of course but there has been so much new stuff that absolutely kicks ass.
@stewbsss Could you recommend any other shoegaze bands with the same mystical magical sound as Mazzy Star?
@killyourfm Hmm I can't say I know of any bands exactly like how you describe but there are a few that might fit the bill for you!
Mojave 3
Kid Fears
Ozean
Blankenberge
Alison's Halo
Blushing (More akin to Lush but you may find the sound similar)
