Damn, Intel is claiming Lunar Lake has the most powerful integrated graphics solution in the industry. 30% per-core performance improvement. 16% faster than AMD and 68% faster than Qualcomm X1E-84-100.
If true, that's remarkable.
Handheld gaming is going to explode even further by next year... Especially with these power efficiency claims.
@killyourfm I really dislike Intel as a company, but I really hope as part of their recent financial trouble they don't axe their GPU division. We deserve to have more than just 2 choices when it comes to a graphics card.
@benpocalypse @killyourfm As a regular AMD user, I hard agree. Strong and healthy competition benefits the users.
@killyourfm for small handhelds and even new lines of netbook-like devices (maybe Ultrabooks too?) it's definitely looking like a win. if the claims match reality.
@killyourfm too bad the Intel driver for linux xe is not really in good shape. I have an arc770 and many AAA games won't boot :(
@portaloffreedom Oh that's too bad. I had a decent gaming experience with the Ultra Core Series 1 on Fedora 40 recently.
@killyourfm woah! I REALLY hope this is true. I would love to see a fight between budget gaming computers with iGPUs.
@nozze Indeed! I really believe that's the future for the vast majority of gamers. Once flagships can run any game at 1080p/60, that future begins. And I think it's about ready to happen.
@killyourfm whats the point when AMD's offering s are cheaper and... more reliable lmao?
@killyourfm And allegedly Arm-beating battery life. We need independent benchmarks asap
@raulinbonn I'll have systems in hand, but possibly not before launch.
