Me: Drops $300 on hardware to spin up a local Plex server without even blinking.
Also me: Spends two hours internally debating $20 on food delivery versus making dinner, then feels guilty about it.
Why am I like this?
@killyourfm I am the same way. Some things perhaps just have more value to us, such as hobbies, while "wasting" money on something I can do myself but just want to be lazy - that does seem frivolous... it's perspective intersecting frugality. There are no wrong answers...
@killyourfm Tell me about it. I just dropped a lot of money on a Raspberry Pi 5, even though I already have a bunch of other SBCs.
@killyourfm Because delivery services receive bad press and cooking is marketed as something genuinely good.
No spin on IT yet.
(Somehow I feel I missed the point)
@killyourfm lol I hear you, I spent $300 on a new hard drive for my Plex server without blinking yesterday, but I agonize over each $1 spent on shipping
@sirmikester Our brains are weird, aren't they?
@killyourfm been there, done that…..
