@killyourfm Great article portraying the positives and negatives of both sides. I’ve used both AMD and NVIDIA gpus and have also found both have their quirks. You mentioned for instance the opencl needs for gpu compute workloads. On AMD you have to find exactly the opencl packages you want and you install them alongside the opensource drivers. With nvidia you download packages for nvenc or cuda. Either way is a hassle, just a different hassle depending on which gpu you have.
