@crk5 What a stupid example. Animals try to starve out their competition all the time with zero fucks given. Squirrels for instance. Older ones will watch where the younger ones hide their stash, raid it while the youngster is away, leaving them empty. Winter starvation is a leading cause of death among yearling squirrels.
Not a defense of Elon. But it's an utterly useless analogue to draw conclusions from. Only we humans care about our values. Nature doesn't give a shit about our scruples.

But just because it's unreasonable amount of money, some pray to them.

Let's put a finer point on it.

That one monkey would be mobbed, killed, and his bananas eaten by those who were starving.

It's not nice to monkey around. I see FAFO in our future.

@crk5 If the monkey hoarded more bananas while the rest of us monkeys starved, it's likely that he had figured out a novel way to harvest more bananas per day than we can.

We would then offer this extraordinarily hardworking monkey something that he wants in exchange for some bananas. We would do this efficiently because the bananas are perishable and we have more use for them than he does.

But perhaps we don't want bananas at all anyway or he won't sell at any price out of spite and his pile would simply rot and he'd have wasted a part of his life building all his banana harvesters that are now useless.
