@blizzz so... cryptominers flock to Kazakhstan because of cheap energy, and less than a year later there is a popular uprising because of rising energy costs. these things seem to be related.
@Stoori i know too little to know whether there are other things coming into play. The government is rather Authoritarian, so there can be several issues cooking up. Certainly the electricity problems caused by the cryptocurrencyminers were fueling dissatisfaction.
