What would be the easiest way to publish a #webcomic so that it would be on the Fediverse and that would allow readers to read from oldest to newest?
Is there maybe a #Wordpress plugin for webcomics that is compatible with the #ActivityPub plugin?
(If you don't know, please boost)
I already checked @pixelfed and it doesn't allow for sorting old to new.
UPDATE: seems like it's possible! https://universeodon.com/@ErinPtah/111287679054504710
@narF @pixelfed I can imagine that @davidrevoy has connections and might know someone who explored the options
@RyunoKi @narF @pixelfed Hey, if it is the "easiest way" with a chronological order, maybe just a Mastodon account and publishing the webcomic in a big thread (that you update on the go) might be a solution. Each post is limited to 4 pages max; but you can chain post this way in a chronological order and update the thread whenever you want. Someone who get the last episode/chapter/page boosted, can quickly access the chronology of the full story with the previous posts after a click. Not tested.
@davidrevoy @RyunoKi Not a bad idea!
I also got this reply from from someone who tried mixing plugins: https://universeodon.com/@ErinPtah/111287679054504710

The main downside of this approach is that long threads on Mastodon don't render well. Beyond a certain number of posts it becomes very hard to actually make sure linking to a specific post in the thread scrolls/focuses on that post, in addition to the confusing structure of the comment subthreads.
